Lump sensation in throat...please suggestions?

Like he said. Personally, I'd look to a holistic medicine practitioner. Seems like modern medicinal practitioners messed you up in the first place, and I don't believe in it for the most part. You could stop smoking, you have nasal cilia which are tiny hair-like organelles that reside on the surface of cells for the purpose of sweeping debris away from lung and nasal cavities. The most common reason to suffer damaged or paralyzed cilia, however, is smoking (and they take sometime to regenerate). Normally, healthy cilia in the bronchial tubes work in sync with specialized cells that produce mucous to capture and remove impurities out of the lungs. (some of this of course you may already know) Smokers, on the other hand, are subjected to about 4,000 toxic chemicals in cigarette smoke, including arsenic, methane, and carbon monoxide. The cumulative effect of smoking on the cilia is that dirt, environmental pollutants, and toxins from cigarette smoke remain in the lungs. Furthermore, these toxins migrate from the lungs via the bloodstream to other organs. This is essentially another defense being broken down(thus potentially affecting others) and rendered ineffective. It's likely a combination by lack of normal defense systems, coupled with smoking. I think since you are young, if you stop or at least find a healthier alternative and just eat healthy/organic foods and get your nutrition(not that you aren't) you should be just dandy! Let's hope anyway, that it's just that simple. ;p
